A shade of the dramatic, where different is all there is.

Spring 2012 Nail Polish Collections feat. China Glaze, OPI, Orly and Fingerpaints

Spring is just around the corner – or so I keep telling myself!  That means the special collections and limited edition products for this season are hitting the shelves.

The new Capitol Colours collection by China Glaze (inspired by the most anticipated movie of the year: The Hunger Games) just came out yesterday and has a wide range of shades.

I happened to be in the area of a Sally’s Beauty Supply store so I popped in.  The display had already been ransacked with only about 5 polishes left.  I grabbed “Foie Gras”, “Hook and Line” and “Fast Track”.  I hope they replenish their collection soon, I would love to pick up “Luxe and Lush”!

***On a side note – I, along with thousands of others are not so patiently awaiting the China Glaze Magnetix collection to hit stores in Canada .  It has been advertised to show up this month, but not sure when.  I’m super excited to give it a try.***

OPI is on the scene with their Spring 2012 Holland Collection featuring a nice mix of brights, earth tones and muted shades.

Orly’s new 2012 Spring collection “Cool Romance” is out as well and the colours are beautiful.  You can purchase these at your local Sally’s Beauty Supply Store.

And of course, Fingerpaints is keeping pace with an offer this month of “Free Basecoat” with the purchase of any Fingerpaints nail polish (a Sally’s promotion).  Their Spring 2012 collection “Gumdrops and Lollipops” is full of bright fun colours to get you excited for the coming seasons.

(I opted for Circus Peanuts and got myself the free Fingerpaints base-coat nail polish.  I couldn’t pass up a deal like that!)

So no matter what sort of colours you are feeling like this Spring, whether it be bright and bold, deep and rich,  or soft and muted, the big brands have you covered!

Shannon

  1. Luxe and Lush definitely looks interesting… Hate that stores never have enough of the new collections to satisfy the cravings of all the addicts out there 😛

    • It’s tough, because you would think that they would want more so people don’t leave empty handed, or with fewer than they might buy…but at the same time, people end up buying more when they do see them, because they don’t know when the next chance will be. It’s like they create this sense of urgency by having low stock…so when they do have low stock, they fly off the shelves. *sigh* who knows what their actual intentions are…I just want my polishes. lol

      • At first, I was going to argue about how it would still be economical for them to have more in stock anyway, since people will still know it’s limited edition, yet they would make more sales off them anyway. But I see your point that people (shopaholics – too many of us!) would not want to miss the chance to snatch them up if they knew it were super rare. Still sucky though 😦

  2. Samira

I want all!! Usually, how much cost each one? 🙂

    March 2, 2012 at 5:14 pm

    • Usually between $5-7/each depending on the brand. And that would be a beauty supply store, if you were to get them in the mall or a salon, they would be much more.

  4. I picked up “Dress Me Up”, “Smoke and Ashes” and “Agro” from the Hunger Games Collection last week. Can’t wait to pick up Luxe and Lush as well when they restock

    • It’s funny how different shops sell out of different ones first. All the ones you mentioned were gone by the time I got there. 😦
